After the slow start to the year in terms of rehoming, as we said in last week’s news, things have picked up and this last week several hounds have found their new homes and families. These...

We lost our beautiful big black boy suddenly on 10th March 2010. The photo
of him standing was taken not long after we had him. The one in the car
was taken after our last holiday in February just before he died. The close
up was taken last July.
We adopted Dillon in July 2007 after Lee spotted him 3 months earlier when
we took home our first hound - a lovely quiet girl called Bonnie. After
watching Dillon bouncing off the roof of his kennel whilst barking furiously
I announced that no way could I cope with a dog like that and we would stick
with a quiet hound. Well, 3 months later we took Bonnie back for a run in
the field and Dillon was still there. Lee got him out for a walk and the
rest is history.
He was the most adorable pet. He towered over Bonnie and weighed 40kgs but
once he'd settled in he was such a gent and loved nothing more than to be
cuddled and fussed. He was still bonkers but never for one moment did we
ever consider taking him back. He was here to stay
Dillon loved everybody and everybody loved him. We miss him so much and
he'll never be forgotten. Our only consolation is that we know he had a
great life with us. Tons of fuss, loads of treats and loads of holidays.
We are so glad we adopted him.
We love you Dillon. Rest in peace 'Big Fella'.
