Alfie

I just thought I would drop you a line to give you an update on Jack now that he has moved to Alton. He is doing fantastically well and now has a new name as we already have a Jack in the family. He is called Alfie and already knows his name and is loved by all who meet him.

Alfie has been very busy since moving here, he has a new friend Arche the fox terrier and has been to horse shows, dog training classes and visited lots of friends and family. He has met all sorts of different dogs, horses, chickens, ducks and even a peacock and has been a true gentleman at all times.

At home Alfie has decided his favourite spot is upside down on the sofa and he is enjoying his walks through the Churnet valley. I think we should have called him shadow as he follows me everywhere in the house - I have to be careful not to trip over him He is a wonderful gentle dog who has fitted in well and is a credit to you all at the centre and also to his foster carers. We are telling all we meet how good it is to own a greyhound and hope that will help generate some more new owners for these fantastic dogs.

I was also really pleased to see that Kent has now made a full recovery and found himself a new home - I am sure he will be a great.

Thanks again for all your help - if all goes to plan we may be back again next year looking for another new friend as we may just have room.
