Foster Hound - Moonie

Moonie in the kennels.  

Here is the report from his foster carers:

Hi my name is Moonie but I don't really recognise it so you can call me what you want.

 I am an older male at five and I have been in the kennels a long time.  So when you see me in the kennels I am trying to make you notice me because I think I am handsome and want out of there.

I have been in a foster home and I soon learnt to relax and enjoy the warmth and quiet of a loving home.  They had another boy dog called Tassy and we got along perfectly fine.  In fact when they gave us a chew or a pig’s ear to eat he didn't try to take mine and I didn't try to take his.

I have learnt that there is a time and place for everything, I love to play and jump about after a squeaky toy when thrown to me and if you sit down I will relax in my bed as well, all day if you want to.

I do enjoy it though when you pick me up and cuddle me on the sofa and if you want to I will very happily stay there all night with you.

When you play with me and bark at me I will join in but don't be scared as I will smile because I am happy and not angry with you.

Whilst being with my foster parents I have learnt to behave a little better and if I see a small animal opposite the road I will just try and stare them out but I get a little too excited if they get too close.  I am a nice quiet boy I don't like to shout very much and I know my place because I am not a very dominant dog.  I do like my food lots and lots and I have learnt not to pester you when you are eating but you might need to remind me a few more times because I forget sometimes.

If  you want a fun loving yet very affectionate dog with a good appetite for life  and you have a little patience to help me carry on learning how to be a little angel then go on you know you want take me HOME WITH YOU.

I will give you my heart and all I ask for in return (apart from some food) is a NICE BIG CUDDLE.
