Pounds 4 Hounds 2010 - Tea for Two : ask for the exciting details

Ideas for events you could do:

You can download the “Tea 4 Two” poster to publicise your event (see the download pages).

  • ·        Hold a sponsored event e.g. Swim, Stop smoking, stop drinking tea/coffee or even ale, bike ride – there are so many you could organise.
  • ·        Have a dress down day at work.
  • ·        Use a collection box at work for the month to raise some cash.
  • ·        Hold a Car Boot or Garage sale event.
  • ·        Buy some raffle tickets (request some from kennels@rgtwolverhampton.co.uk)
  • ·        As our theme for this year is Tea 4 Two you could do any of the following:

The Tea Party can be as big or as small as you like. Remember you can hold your Tea Party anywhere,

NO EVENT IS TOO SMALL!!

how about:

Home, Office, School, Church, Staff room, Club, Garden Nursery or anywhere.

Themes:

Afternoon tea served in your front room is perfect, but don't forget the Tea Party doesn't have to be just 'tea' in the afternoon! Here are some ideas for themes which could help make your Tea Party stand out:

• A Champagne Afternoon Tea Party

• A barbeque serving 'T'- bone steaks!

• Children's Tea Party with all the food beginning with T (tomato soup, toasted cheese pizza, turkey and tuna sandwiches, treacle tart, toffee apples, trifle etc)

• A themed Tea Party eg: with pink cakes and pink lemonade (pink is our colour!)

• A Mad Hatter's Tea Party

• Japanese Tea Ceremony

• A Tombola Tea Party

• A Tea Dance at your Club

• A 'Tee' Party on the Golf Course!

• Bingo with afternoon Tea

• A sponsored week where you make all the rounds of Tea at work all week

• A Healthy Tea Party (green / fruit teas with carrot cake)

• A Cocktail Tea Party serving Long Island Iced Tea or G&T!

• For big Tea drinkers, give up drinking Tea for a week and get sponsored in the process!

• A Teddy Bears Tea Party (with kite shaped biscuits)

• Go teetotal for a week (bye bye booze!) and get sponsored for it!

• Fancy dress, with characters beginning with T (Tom Thumb, TinTin, Tinker Bell, Thumbelina, Tarzan etc)

Be inventive and creative and come up with your own ideas!

You can raise more money at your Tea Party by:

  • • Charging for entry or charging for each cup of tea, biscuit or cake
  • • Have a cake 'Bring & Buy' sale
  • • Holding competitions:
  • o Guess the weight of the cake
  • o Tea Tasting - can you tell the difference between different brands of tea?      
  • o Fancy dress - dress as characters beginning with 'T'. Prizes to the best dressed!
  • o Name the Teddy – names beginning with T of course!
  • o Let your imagination run wild and come up with your own!
  • • Hold a raffle
  • • Have an arts and crafts sale
  • • Hold an auction
  • • Play bingo for prizes
  • • Hold a tombola
  • • Have a children’s ‘design your own t-shirt’ competition
