The hunt is one for budding young designers to create the ultimate in doggy fashion.
The Retired Greyhound Trust has launched its search for the Ultimate Dog Coat for the third year running.
The winning creation will be transformed into a real coat and paraded at the Trust's annual show - the Great Greyhound Gathering - at Nottingham Race Course in September.
This year, the Trust has decided that it shouldn't be the kids who have all the fun. The Ultimate Dog Coat competition has a new category - for adults. If you are aged 18 or over you can borrow the children's colouring pens and create your own masterpiece.
The junior competition will be open to two age groups - six and under and seven to 11. There will be regional winners in each age group. The overall winner's design will become the Ultimate Dog Coat 2011. The closing date for entries for both competitions will be Friday 29 July 2011. For full details please see below.
Doggy design specialist Laura Gough, from Mutts & Hounds (formerly Petit Pooch), will take up the challenge of transforming design into a real life sized coat again this year.
Ivor Stocker, from the Retired Greyhound Trust, said: "The Ultimate Dog Coat competition is going from strength to strength so we had to bring it back for its third year. Get your neighbours, friends, families, schools, and Brownie, Rainbow and Cub packs involved and let's make this the best year yet.
"We didn't want the adults to feel left out, so we have opened up a category for mums and dads to show their creative sides."
